Pt. 4 of Ch. 2: Spades and Shafts

                                                           Pt. 4

Josiah hurled himself towards Mr. Forest as the man ducked to a pre-jump position. Mr. Forest launched himself upwards, did a double kick in mid-air and landed it perfectly into Josiah's chest. Josiah felt himself knocked backwards, but quickly recovered by doing a backwards roll into a crouch. He attempted to reach the man a second time, but was again repelled by a perfectly executed trick that left Josiah out of breath. He fell to the ground, gasping for breath, and saw Mr. Forest walk towards him. Josiah quickly reacted by rolling over, disappearing, appearing behind Mr. Forest, and spinning his leg to trip him. Although Mr. Forest fell, he never hit the ground. He re-appeared directly behind Josiah, grabbed him by the neck, and tossed him to the ground. Again, Josiah saw the strange glint in the man's eyes. Mr. Forest walked to Josiah, mumbling the same strange words Josiah had heard him say before. Josiah couldn't move. Mr. Forest reached him, and kicked him over multiple times. Josiah felt his rage. At last, the man relented. But worse was yet to come. Josiah was allowed to move again. But wished he wasn't. He hopped to his feet, a new sense of power inside. The man had killed Mike. He wasn't about to let the same thing happen to him. He charged towards Mr. Forest, jumped, and performed the perfect jump-kick into Mr. Forest's chest. Josiah landed on top of him. He banged Jackson's head against the floor and whispered one word. "Why?"
Mr. Forest laughed and said, "you wouldn't understand, young one. You and your little tricks. You think there's nothing above you, but you're WRONG!" his laugh turned into a yell as he threw Josiah off of himself, jumped to his feet, and brushed off his coat.
"You may think you're smarter, stronger, and more mature than anybody else because of what you've done. Don't fool yourself. If you want to grow up. Face loss. Face pain. Look it in the eye and say 'hit me again'. When you've done that, let me know. Oh, wait. Never mind, I was told to kill you." Josiah snarled and jumped to his feet. He attacked Mr. Forest, but the words he'd just heard had affected him somehow. He felt small. The hands that were trying so hard to bring down this man in front of him had somehow lost their worth. He let his hands fall limp. He stared into Mr. Forest's eyes, and felt himself fall to his knees. He bowed his head as he felt Mr. Forest's hands close around his head.

He felt a sharp twist, then felt nothing.

Coming up next! Chapter 3: Diamonds and Gold.

Pt. 3 of Ch. 2: Spades and Shafts

                                                                  Pt. 3

Josiah peeked through the window, not even breathing. The chatter he heard came from a man on the phone. He heard the words: "Okay, Mike's out of the way, what's next?" Silence. "The boy? where do I find him?" More silence. "Okay, consider him gone." The man hung up the phone, and waited 3 seconds. 3, 2, 1. He was gone. Josiah gasped. He walked through the wall and searched the room for any information. Fortunately, the man on the phone had left his wallet on the table. Josiah looked through it. The man's name was Jackson Forest. Josiah felt a small wave and ducked under the table. Feet appeared out of nowhere. Josiah threw his coat over himself and disappeared. Josiah looked through the window again, as he had appeared at the window. The man picked up his open wallet and stared at it a couple seconds. Josiah waited.
Quick as lightning, the man spun around with his hand outstretched. Although Josiah had tried to disappear, it was impossible. Jackson, stared directly into Josiah's eyes with a strange light in his own. With a wave of his other arm, Jackson teleported Josiah into the room. Josiah found himself bound in a chair with Jackson Forest looking straight at him arm still outstretched. He whispered a few words Josiah didn't understand, then lowered his arm. He then said, quite clearly, "Good luck." And disappeared.

Josiah awoke to find himself in the same chair, this time unbound, and in a completely different room.
It was as large as a football stadium, yet void of life. The entire room was made of some strange metal Josiah had never seen before, and the whole room was completely closed off. There was no exit save a single door on the complete other side of the room. Yet as Josiah stood, the door disappeared, as did the chair he was sitting in not a moment ago. He heard a sound like the flapping of bats' wings, felt a whoosh of air, and saw Mr. Forest appear 20 feet in front of him. Mr. Forest laughed, and disappeared again. Josiah tried to teleport home, but was unsuccessful. Mr. Forest appeared directly in front of him and lifted him off of his feet. Josiah felt himself disappear with the man. He appeared again, where the door was before. Mr. Forest let go of him and disappeared again, leaving Josiah to fall to the ground. Josiah clambered to his feet as he saw Mr. Forest appear at the opposite side of the stadium. Mr. Forest laughed again a cruel, heartless laugh, and raised his arms in a lordly fashion. Josiah shook his arms, braced himself, and raced towards Mike's killer.

Day 6

A song that reminds you of somewhere.

I had to think about this for a bit. I came to the conclusion of

Day 2

Your Least Favorite Song:

Well, this one varies from time to time as well, but currently it would probably be:

Baby - Justin Bieber.

Trust me, if you want to preserve your health, don't look up this song.

Go eat a banana, it'll make me feel better.

Lively Tuesday! maybe....

Still not sure about the name....

Well, the name implies nearly the opposite of what's happening. Josiah is moving back home this weekend, along with the plans of Gilma moving out this week. I don't much feel like going into further detail on that....

Last week was Benny's graduation. RCC graduation, whatever.... There was a dance afterwards, then of course, a new Doctor Who episode: "The Rebel Flesh." It was good, like all episodes this season... It was a 2-parter though, so I have to wait... BWAH....

Here are some pictures that my friend told me to post.

And here is my older brother, Benny, who graduated last Saturday:

I honestly can't think of that much else to say. So..... bye!

30 Day Challenge (Music): Day 1

It's been a while since I did one of these 30 day challenge things, but I'll do it anyways.

Favorite Song:

It varies from time to time, but at the moment, my favorite song is "Beautiful Calm Driving" by Sia.

To Benny.

Well, my older brother is graduating today, so I'll direct this post towards him.

Congratulations Benny.

As much as it may seem different, I admire my older brothers, especially Benny. He's been with me the longest, and put up with me when I've been the biggest nuisance.

I can't help but think that I would be a completely different person were it not for Benny. He has introduced me to countless musicians and bands, and may even be into music more that myself, which is saying quite a bit. He's helped me develop a great taste of music, thereby keeping me away from modern day popular music, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Who remembers when Gwen Stefani was the bad music out there? Gwen Stefani is nearly likeable now. What will it be when Lady Gaga is nearly likeable? I'm sure that whatever it is, Benny will keep me away from it when it comes.

Benny, I'm sorry for being the annoying little brother (not so little anymore) that I've been to you so many times, and It's inevitable that I'll still be an annoying brother even after this. But you're my brother nevertheless. And I can only imagine that my life wouldn't be the same without you.

Thank you for being my brother.

Traitor? No.

Why is it that I get called a traitor to Muse, when I start to listen to a different artist more after I've listened to Muse for nearly 7 years? You would want a break too! (Christian, you silly, silly person.......)

Recently I've been listening to a lot of Sia. More specifically, one album of Sia: "Some People have Real Problems". I try to get people in school (mainly the younger class, which I just happen to be in... blah......) to listen to more (and, in my opinion, better) music. Slowly, they've been growing more open to the music I listen to (at least Ryan and Christian), but man! Bring in a female artist and it all goes away!!! (Try this at home.) As soon as I turned on some Sia, the faces that were full of great interest turned into faces of great disgust. I mean, seriously!!! I have been called the most musical person at school. Would I show people an artist that isn't good? No, probably not. There's only a few artists that I like that aren't all that great, and compared to the "music" that's popular nowadays, the music that I like that isn't "all that great" is amazing. So don't lecture me on what's good music.

Here's the process of finding a new artist: Benny finds a new artist, and shows it to me (every once in a long while, it's the other way around.) So, if I'm not really into something else at that time, I'll take the time to listen to it, and if it came from Benny, I'll most likely start to like it. Most of the time it's the same way if it were me finding the artist. So, if I were the one finding the artist, I'll look quickly scan through their stuff, look up some of their lyrics, and, if I like it, I'll show it to Benny. Not always does he like it, but neither do I, so there.

The past month or so, I've been listening to a lot of Sia and Antoine Dufour. A while back I posted a video of Antoine Dufour and Tommy Gauthier? Well, Antoine Dufour turned out to be an AMAZING guitarist, now one of my favorites. He's very easy to listen to while you're reading, and that's something I greatly admire in music. The same goes for most Sia songs.

Speaking of reading, have you ever heard of (or read) Ted Dekker? Well, just a little while ago, I borrowed about 5 of his books from the library: "Black," "Red," "White," "Green," and "Skin." The first four are a book series (in case you hadn't noticed),  and the last is a thriller, I'm excited about that. It's a lot of reading to do in 3 weeks, considering I only just started "Black".....

Back to the music... I like music... music is nearly my favorite thing in the world.......

How many of you have seen the movie "August Rush" ? If so, say "I"....

No, I'm just kidding, you don't have to do that. You could if you wanted to, but no pressure.... Anyways, there's a scene in the park where August (Evan) plays for the first time. This song, "Ritual Dance", is awesome. In other words, I just recently learned it. I'm close to perfecting it, even though I do it a little differently. In case you don't want to bother looking it up (which you won't, now that I've given it to you), here it is!

Yeah, well. I also was learning a little bit of "Development" by Antoine Dufour (I'll let you look this one up), but I'm nowhere near perfecting that. Well, anyways. I'm going to go read "Black" so I can get it done in time for me to read the rest of the series before the 10th of next month.

Last minute exhortation! If you are one of those peoplz who don't care for music, or you don't listen to a wide variety of music, expand! Try out new stuff! You'll find that many people have begun to like music more the more they listen to it. Even Wesley (I would have made his name a link to his blog, but he discontinued it :( ) began liking the Decemberists a LOT even after he had been listening to Demon Hunter and the like for years and years. He's been expanding more and more recently. Or at least I think he has......

Anyways, I'm going to go now. I hope you will start listening to more music!! Don't fall to the dark side!!!

PS: If you questions on what You're listening to, whether it's good, bad, or are just curious of my opinion, please, leave a comment! Or you can email me if you don't want it public. Just to let you know, it's a very, very bad idea to ask me about Owl City if you like him.

I'm still not quite sure what to call it......

Well, Lively Tuesday #2? I dunno........ I guess so.

Well, last week was, well, last week. I think I told you that my first practice with my group (Charity, Forrest, and Myself) was last Friday? Well, guess what? School happened to be closed that day, and therefore, I had no ride. But, due to the providence of God, I was still able to get a ride there, and so we had our first practice. That was fun. We did quite a bit. I think we'll probably have a discussion if we have practice this Friday instead of learning a bunch of songs that they probably already forgot (I haven't, due to the fact that I wrote the songs myself all those years ago.) We'll practice some more though.... Well, last week I came up with an experiment, for some of you, I've already told, but some people still don't know what My experiment is. Anyways! for an experiment, I went and asked a few people for song titles, only the title. As I got good titles, I went and wrote them down on my cover. Thereby having a complete cover:

So.... Yeah. This experiment is proving successful. I go through and write the songs in some sort of way that pertains to the title of the song. Therefore, a select few special people will have a song written for them. (You're welcome). A couple of those titles came from Blakely's Website, or rather, his paintings on the website. I'm not sure why I haven't shown you this before. Blakely attends my brother Sam's church, and is pretty good friends with him. So, yeah. The painter of these amazing  paintings? Yep, I know him.

Anyways, I'm working on track 5, "Perplexity,"  and I'm honestly kind of perplexed about what to write about for that one. Kind of ironic, isn't it? Any suggestions? Leave it in a comment!!!
Well, my book is going extremely slow, I haven't even written anything since the last post (of the book).
Anyways, that's practically what's happened since last Tuesday. Oh, yeah, we also went to a Parish meeting on Sunday. That was alright too I guess.

Other things happened, but frankly, I don't really want to say what they were, so I'll end here.

Weekly update on my life? (Lively Tuesday!?)

Okay....... I'm not really that fond of telling everybody how my life is going, but I'm going to be really bored today. I should have gone to school anyways. Well then, Let's call it: Lively Tuesday! I don't know, It's a little lame, but suggestions are always welcome. Did you know that suggestions and opinions are commonly found in the form of comments?

Well. This Sunday it was Mother's Day. We celebrated by having a whole bunch of family come over. I don't want to tick anybody off right now, but there's no argument: My Mom is the best mother in the world (don't argue).  Last weekend (Friday/Saturday) was the creation seminar thing. Me and Benny went to that. It was a lot of stuff I'd already heard, but it was very interesting nonetheless. Also, speaking of last Friday, the "band practice" didn't work out. Lame. But we're working it all out for this Friday. Let's hope it works out.
Last Saturday (after the creation seminar) we came home and watched Knight and Day. I'm sure some people would call it lame, but I found it quite entertaining. Also, on Friday, we watched the trailer for Vampires Suck, believe me, it was funny.... http://youtu.be/ksJvEH-R_ew embedding was disabled, sorry.

So, this Monday was very exciting. I went to school, came home, got on the computer, blogged, all that jazz.
Plus a slight twist. Leah had her baby. So that's my...... what, 4th niece? I think so.

And of course, today I fell sick. But I had better be better tomorrow. I want to have something to do.

Well. this ends my first Lively Tuesday! tune in next time for....... more...... stuff........
And I'm definitely willing to take suggestions for a name other than Lively Tuesday.

Here we go again.......

Wow Elisa. Thanks a lot. (This is sarcasm by the way)

Well, I already have 6 comments saying I shouldn't shut the blog down, although what I was looking for is more what you like about the blog. I had a master scheme you see...... But nevermind, It obviously won't happen for a while...

I guess this means I have to keep blogging. Fine. Have it your way.
Notice, I would have kept blogging, but with a blog nobody knows about. (Except for a select few people.)

But! Anyways! I had figured that nobody cared enough for the blog to stay open, so I have no idea what to blog about other than my book. So! Any suggestions?

Saturday, May 7, 2011

The End.

Well, it may not appear so to the people who read this blog, but to me it's obvious: This blog is going nowhere.

So, I've decided to end it. UNLESS, I get comments from 5 of my followers refusing, and saying why they don't want the blog to go down, then I'll keep it up, just for the enjoyment of the followers. Also, saying that you don't want me to take it down because you want to hear the rest of the story doesn't count. I can email it to you, you don't need a blog for that. You have until the 22nd of May. Otherwise the blog's going down.

So, in case this is my last post, I'll say my last words. It's been fun blogging to you all, and for those who actually commented, I enjoyed your comments. Thank You.

Pt. 2 of Ch. 2: Spades and Shafts

                                                                        Pt. 2

Josiah ran to his room, breathing hard. He snatched a sheet of paper from his desk, made what would look like random scribbles on it, crumpled of the paper, grabbed another, and started again. His thoughts, at first all jumbled and confused, slowly all came together. If he could find something in Mike's possessions about the killer, threatening cards, bribes, anything of that sort, he would be one step closer to finding him. His magic was perfected, his plan, on the other hand, was not. He tried his little trick, it didn't work. He despaired. If his trick didn't work, what would, he racked his brains searching for something that would help him. Then he remembered the last thing Mike had said to him. He had said he was going to do a side-hand job. He ran to the mining camp and asked the manager where Mike had been offered a job and what it was. The manager told him the job had been simple and of no consequence. But after much persuasion, he eventually told Josiah Mike had gone to work for a rich couple, and gave him the directions to the mansion. Although how he expected Josiah to get there, we still don't know.
Josiah thanked him, and said he was heading home. But, of course, he never made it home, he stopped near the ditch where Mike was found, threw his coat over himself, and whala! He was there. He climbed out from under his coat, and saw he was at the mansion. He snuck around the house and peered through windows and such.
Finally he heard what he was listening for, chatter and laughter. If his theory was correct, Josiah had found Mike's killer.

Comment!! Let me know what you think so far!

The new look.

I think the title practically explains it all. I gave the blog a new look. I might have another background available. What do you think? Keep it or change it?

My Life at the Moment: (and Sia)

Well, as probably many of you know, I've been trying to form a group so that I don't have to make all my music by myself, that would make me lonely..... But anyways, I've finally found a few people that are interested in being in a group, and I will name them:
~Charity Tuuri
~Forrest Blackman
~Adam Hayes (maybe)

Yeah, well, that's that. It'd be neat if it all works out right. If you have any suggestions for a name for the group, please leave it in the form of a comment!

Well, I found a new artist I really like. Actually, I can't take the credit for finding her, Jo introduced her to me. Here's some of the epic music of Sia:

Soon We'll be Found:

Academia:

Lentil:

And there's so many other good songs too, but I won't put them on, You'll have to go look them up! Muahahahaha.

Well, You might have seen, I put up the 1st part to Ch. 2 of my book: The Magician's Hand.
Go read it if you haven't already!

And here I end the post.
