Lively Tuesday...... started up again?

I don't know. I'll really know if it's started up again or not when a bunch of people vote. Anyways, I might as well do it for now.

Where to start? I went to Family Camp a few weeks ago; I'm pretty sure you all know that by now. Most of you were there with me. Not necessarily with me, but there. So, as most of you will probably know, we had Talent Night on Thursday night rather than Friday night. I would like to start a discussion on this topic: What are the upsides and downsides of having Talent Night on Friday? For me, personally, I think it's better to have it on Friday night for a number of reasons: One: There's more time for the performers to practice. Two: It's a great end to the week, that way, it can go along directly with the slideshow. For downsides, I think I only have one. which would be this: people are too busy practicing for Talent Night throughout the week, they don't have as much time to spend with whoever they want to spend time with. Personally, that's not really a problem, because I rarely do anything planned. I have fun, but I hardly ever do anything on the schedule.
Did I mention I did 4 songs for Talent Night this year? Development by Antoine Dufour, The Twisted Life of Tommy Jones pt. 2 by Myself, This Time from August Rush, and Say Uncle by Vienna Teng.

But the best performance by far was this:

Lord of the Rings Delight by Rosemary Arnold

yeah. Jesse called them back up onto the stage after that. They received a standing ovation. Apparently Wes started it..... hmm.....

Well, last week (the week after family camp) began with a four-day sickness for me. And after that, we had Joshua, Lucy and Esther over to spend the weekend with us. That went....well.....

Anyways, earlier today we (the group I put together) practiced for the second time. Of course, we sounded good (again).  Charity wanted to play guitar, and so both Forrest and I got a chance to try bass. Is it strange that I learned Hysteria within about 4 minutes? hmm... you couldn't have expected any less...

And that's what's happened with me over the last few weeks!

Post without a name, even though it still has a name. :P

Do you see what writing short parts to books then posting them has done to me? No, nevermind, you don't. You can't see me at the moment. I feel like I'm getting pretty far, and then.... (PLOP)......... Hope sinks in an instant...
No, not really. I still have hope, but I was hoping to get you the first chapter quickly so that you could become insanely entranced by the book, then you would have to WAIT!  Hahaha!!!!
I'm not even kidding. But really, this may take a lot more time than I expected it to, and I expect future chapters to be much longer than this first one. So You'll have to wait even longer for those. Sorry. :P

Did I mention that this book will be confusing? I sure hope so. Because it's hard for ME to WRITE it!
I just finished the back cover for the book. (I seem to do a lot of covers for what isn't finished....) Anyways, Here it is.

I still have to work on it, so don't expect that to be the completed back cover. :P

Kerilynn, how would you like to do the front cover? I don't have any money, but it would be cool if you did anyways. But no pressure, you don't have to. :P

Anyways... This book will be extremely confusing, I myself am not quite sure how it'll work, but yeah. I'm going to try to make it amazingly awesome and awesomely amazing at the same time. So, I hope you enjoy it.

On another subject. You may have noticed that I haven't been doing my planned "Lively Tuesdays". There's a reason for that, and here it is: I completely forgot. I remembered now though. :P Anyways, I don't care if I do them or not, so I'll put a poll up. So please check that out and vote on it.
Thanks!

Day 30 and an announcement.

The final day of the 30 Day Song Challenge, and I knew the song right away.... :(

Day 30: Your favorite song at this time last year:

So yeah, I have this project that some of you may have seen without really knowing what it was. It's a very thin green binder. It is my project that I have been doing for nearly a year now. Every day, at the end of the day, if there was a song stuck in my head, or just a song I really liked that day, I would write it down in the book (binder) thereby, I have nearly 300 of my favorite songs from this past year. Since I have this, I was easily able to find the closest song to one year ago. My favorite song at that time was Black Orchid by Blue October:

So. This announcement of mine. It's not much of an announcement really, more just a heads up so what's on it's way won't just hit you out of the blue. Anyways.
Today, I had a great idea, a magnificent idea even. And I'm not going to share all of it with you, but you will see it unfold (I hope.) You may have noticed that a third secret page has come into existance: It's titled "Twin". Yes it is. I'm preparing to start another book. It will be done a little differently than "The Magician's Hand" but it'll be awesome nonetheless. I'll be doing the posts from this book in much longer segments, so you'll have to wait longer for each chapter to be posted (Sorry). But it'll be an awesome book. (I hope.) I'm not going to hand out any more information, but keep an eye on that blank new page for when the first chapter appears.

Day 28/29

Day 28: A song that makes you feel guilty:

I don't know.... I'll have to think about it.... hm...... well..... it appears that Breaking Benjamin has come up quite a bit here lately, but that's okay.

Breaking Benjamin - away

Day 29: A song from your childhood:

Nickelback was easily my favorite band when I was younger, and this was easily my favorite song:

Nickelback - Someday

Benefit concert at the Piano Fort

You know, I actually decided I'm not going to post about Family Camp, just because I wouldn't know how to describe it. So instead, I'll tell you what happened last night!

Last night Mom, Dad, Benny, and Myself went to a benefit concert at the Piano Fort, which is also the workshop of Modcott Pianos, which my brother Sam owns. There is apparently going to be a benefit concert there every month now. I plan to attend each time. I'm also going to be working at the shop once or twice a week. That'll be fun. Well, last night we had Lone Madrone, Seth Kenzie, and Marty Marquis from Blitzen Trapper, who I had a chance to talk to and become somewhat friends with. Soon, I will be doing a review on Lone Madrone's album that will becoming out soon, due to the fact that I have a somewhat music-related blog. Benny will also be doing a review.

It was AMAZING how well the shop was cleaned up for the concert, even the stage itself was made out of pianos. I would give you a picture, but I don't think we have received it yet.

Anyways, it's Father's Day, and Family will be showing up somewhat soon, so I guess I'll end here.

Days 18-27

Sorry, I was away at Family Camp for a week (don't worry, that's the next post coming up) and didn't have access to a computer, so fell behind......

Anyways!

Day 18: A song that you wish you heard on the radio:
chuckle...... another chuckle......... bursts out laughing...... quiets down..... chuckles again......
honestly, I wish almost every song I have on my X-Box were played on the radio at one point or another, not to mention all the music I have that I don't have enough room for on my X-Box.... PS: I have around 1,000 songs on my X-Box.... and many many CD's......

Day 19: A song from your favorite album:
I have many favorite albums, but one of my most favorites would be Absolution by Muse:

Endlessly: Absolution: Muse

Day 20: A song that you listen to when you're angry:
I don't know, I guess I would have to say I Will not Bow by Breaking Benjamin. I myself don't really have any specific song that I listen to when I'm angry, but I think this would fit the mood

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin:

Day 21: A song that you listen to when you're happy:
I'm pretty sure I did M79 for a song that makes me happy, so I guess I'll have to find another song.... :P

Day 22: A song you listen to when you're sad:
I have this strange thing: whenever I'm in any kind of mood, I'll listen to music that will enhance that mood. Thus, when I'm sad, this song often comes on:

Darkness: Disturbed

Day 23: A song that I want to play at my wedding.
Strangely enough, I had thought about this exact thought not to long a go, a few weeks ago. This is a song I would REALLY want to play at my wedding:

Chances: Athlete

Day 24: A song you want to play at your funeral:
Unfortunately, this one I had NOT  thought about prior to now, so it will require more thought.
Hmmmmm...................
 Hmmm.................
Aha!!.................. no.........................
hm...............................
AAAAHhhhh.....

Hallelujah: Jeff Buckley

Day 25: A song that makes you laugh:
hehe....

Sugarcoat - Breaking Benjamin

you won't understand, so let me explain:
On the drive to Family Camp, Mom and I were the only ones who were in the van, and I'd been listening to a whole bunch of Breaking Benjamin lately, and so I decided to show her some. I made sure to find the songs in which they don't scream (or yell, if that's what you prefer). She was really curious as to why I was telling her that she wouldn't like Breaking Benjamin, since the first songs I had played were Rain and Forget It. She told me to do one in which he "screams", and so I showed her I Will Not Bow and Hopeless. She was saying that those songs weren't bad at all, and was actually seeming to be enjoying the songs. So I showed her this song, once it came to the chorus, She just laughed. I asked "what?" she says "It sounds like something that would have come out of a Hulk movie." and she laughed some more.

That is probably how I'm always going to picture this song now. As if it came from the Hulk. lol :D

Day 26: A song that you can play on an instrument.
OOOHhhh, let me tell YOU........... actually, nevermind, You would die of boredom if I gave you the list of all the songs I can play. I'll just give you my 4 most impressive:

Hysteria - Muse (Piano)

Development - Antoine Dufour (Guitar)

Butterflies and Hurricanes - Muse (Piano)

Dracula & Friends - Antoine Dufour (Guitar)

Day 27: A song that you wish you could play:
Even though there are many, I will only give you two. Aren't I nice?

Heads up: This is probably the MOST impressive thing I've ever seen on youtube:

Fantasie-Impromptu Opus. 66: Chopin

Etude for Piano no. 4 opus. 10: Chopin

Now I'm going to go to a concert! Until next time!

Pt. 1 of Ch. 3: Diamonds and Gold

                                                       Pt. 1

Josiah awoke in a strange place. He wasn't positive of where he was, but he had a pretty good idea. He had awoken on a bench in the middle of a pure white town. Directly in front of him, across a road, was a great water fountain. He watched the water fall into the basin at the base. The water glimmered like diamonds. All of a sudden, a small child ran up to him, tugged on his jacket and said "Come! Come! Moses wants to see you!"  Bewildered, Josiah followed.
The boy brought Josiah to a great building, and motioned for Josiah to enter. So he did. There was Moses, sitting in a lounge chair at the opposite side of the room. He stood as Josiah entered, greeted him, and motioned for him to sit. Josiah sat. Josiah asked why he had been summoned here.  Moses told Josiah. The plan that was part of a greater plan that was part of a greater plan that was part of a greater plan that was all under the watchfulness of Christ Jesus had not yet been fulfilled when Josiah was killed. Josiah played a major part in that plan. And so Moses cast Josiah back down to earth.

Josiah awoke, feeling fuzzy. He was on his bed, in his room, and yet he wasn't on his bed in his room. He knew he had just been killed by Mr. Forest, but had no recollection of the events that had happened afterwards. Maybe he had been found and revived in a hospital? That must have been it. And so that was what Josiah chose to believe. He jumped from his bed and ran to the front door. It was bright and sunny outside, and there was no evidence of anybody else being there. Josiah ran back to his room, counted to 3, and was gone.

Day 17

A song that you hear often on the radio.

Since I heard this song almost EVERY DAY on the way home from school, even though it's a really bad song, I'll put this one:

The Four Seasons: December, 1963 (Oh what a Night)

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Day 16

A song that you used to love, but now hate:

Believe it or not, when I was younger, I thought my older brothers were idiots for listening to rock and such. I myself was a huge country fan at the time. It was the okay country, not the horror music that's played on country stations nowadays.

so how about this song:

Toby Kieth - I Wanna talk about Me:

Day 15

A song that describes you:

I don't know. I mean, I really don't. I spent a long time looking for a song, but could hardly find one.

I'm tied between these two. I'm not going to say how they describe me though.

Hoodoo - Muse

sorry, embedding was disabled.

Exogenesis Symphony pt. 3:

Day 14

A song that no one would expect me to love.

This one's easy, since I normally hate this kind of music, AND, this song came up while talking with somebody a couple days ago.

Yeah - Usher

Really, it's a bad song, hence why I didn't post the official music video. I've heard this song for years and years.
And I don't LOVE it either. I don't normally like Usher either.

Day 13

A song that is a guilty pleasure.

This is a really stupid song, really repetitive, and REALLY vain. But, nonetheless, it's the type of song you can consider a guilty pleasure.

This is why I'm hot - MIMS

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Day 12

A song from a band you hate:

Well, obviously, since it's a band I hate, I'm not going to put a video on my blog, since I don't want anything like it to be on my blog. But I'm going to say a song from a band (person) I hate would be 'Party in the U.S.A' by Miley Cyrus.

Trust me. I'm ashamed that I even remembered the name.

Friday, June 3, 2011

Day 11

A song from your favorite band:

I think this is a cover, but I like it anyways.

Muse - Man of Mystery

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Day 10

A song that makes you fall asleep.

Antoine Dufour & Tommy Gauthier: Naissance

Wednesday, June 1, 2011

Day 9

A Song that you can dance to:

Easy:

Stevie Wonder - Superstition
