Lively Tuesday once more!

It's late Tuesday, and I almost completely forgot about this. Oh well.

Wednesday last week: I went over to Leah's house and watched this movie called Breach. It was interesting. Definitely not for anybody younger than 13.

Thursday I worked again, and had probably the most fun I've had playing the piano with someone else than I may have ever had. I've never really played piano like that before..... :D

Friday was boring.

Saturday was good though. I payed off all of my Library fines, then we went to the School Orientation for KA. That was..... the same. It was supposed to be something to last 2 hours, but it felt more like 32 minutes (hehe) Two new students this year. Interesting..... After the school orientation, we went over to Wes's house for the Doctor Who (mid)Season Premiere party! :D  That was fun. Daniel actually seemed to somewhat enjoy the episode, strangely enough.

Well! Sunday had about nothing. We went to Church (as usual) then came home. (also as usual) Then Mom and Wes took Benny back up to Uncle Richard's house. (that bit's a new development, but it'll become more and more normal.)

Monday was yesterday. Guess what happened? If you guessed anything, you were most likely wrong. We just stayed at home and did just about nothing. I attempted to learn this though...:

And today is Tuesday. Nothing really happened besides going out to get stuff for school. We came home and watched this movie called 'Is Anybody There?' with Michael Cane. It was..... depressing...

But that was my past week! Feel free to comment. I don't expect you to though, cause you know...... that was a pretty boring week other than Saturday......

Have a nice life!

Lively Tuesday, yet again... (plus a movie review!)

Is it not getting boring yet? huh... Well, I honestly have no clue what I should post about. So I'll let words flow somewhat seamlessly through this keyboard I am typing on. (hint: this keyboard kinda sucks, as does my typing skills.)  Blogging has gotten somewhat boring for me at the moment, I need something to make it less boring. Things need to happen in my life so that my posts won't be so boring :P Sorry about that by the way.

What happened last week? ah. On Thursday I worked for Sam again, and on Friday we were gone all day.
We left to retrieve Benny, the long lost brother, from that lofty mountain where he resides. We left the house at precisely 3:45 and arrived at our destination at exactly 4:45. It was a one hour trip up to that mountain. After we got Benny out of his stranded state, we went to a picnic, which Benny got $50 to attend, (but don't tell anyone.) We left the picnic around 7:50, and went home. We brought Benny with us. We didn't want to leave him up there almost all alone... On Saturday I went to a family reunion with Mom and Dad. That was.... interesting...

On Sunday we had parish at the Tooze's. but not very many people came. After I pulled out the wonderful guitar that is currently in my possession and played it for a little bit, (the Decemberists are awesome :D ) it was time to go. We went to the Phelans for Kaitlyn's going away party. That was pretty fun.

And on Monday, (yesterday), I watched the movie 'Equilibrium' for the first time. It was a pretty entertaining movie, Starring Christian Bale, Taye Diggs, Emily Watson, and more.

The movie is set in a future where there has been a third world war, and because they believe that humanity could not survive another, they made a drug to take away from humans what makes them most human. Their emotion. In this future, to feel emotion is their worst crime. They call the people guilty of the crime "sense offenders." Christian Bale plays as John Preston, a well renowned cleric, who has for the first time neglected to take his daily emotion-draining drug. As he becomes more and more 'emotional', he starts to side with a clan of sense offenders known as "The Resistance" (very good Muse album, by the way). And so he sets out to find the Underground, the hiding place of the Resistance. The movie is rated R for violence, but if I were rating, I would probably rate it PG-13. It wasn't that gruesome. Sure, it was a little suspenseful, but there wasn't hardly anything in there that would make me rate it R.

I would say anyone over 11 should be fine watching the movie (of course that should be first decided by their parent or guardian.) I personally liked the movie, and thought it was entertaining.

On a similar, but not the same subject, there is going to be a Doctor Who second half of season premiere party this Saturday that I fully intend to attend. It should be fun :D

But I'm out of things to say, and my keyboard seems to be growing weary, although that actually might just be my fingers. Strange.... oh well.
I'll just sign off then.

Lively Tuesday!

Yikes! I almost forgot about this. Lucky You, huh? Well.

Well, this week I've been working with Randy, it's pretty sweet. Well. It's tough, not necessarily sweet, but I got my first paycheck today, and it was $100, so I'm pretty hyped about that :D

On Saturday of last week, The Piano Fort hosted a their second benefit concert for Rahab's sisters, which is pretty much something to help women who've been abused, or stuff. Well, since Mom was sick, she wasn't able to go, but Me, Dad, and Jo were all able to go. Three bands performed: Outland Prey (who I'm probably listening to too much now), Ghost Montrose, and Heatwarmer. Lets just say this: Outland Prey was the first to perform, and they were AMAZING. After that, Ghost Montrose played, and I'm not trying to be biased, but they did even better. And after that was Heatwarmer, and they were even better. So yeah, the night just got better and better as it went along. Here's a picture of the stage:

See the platform up on the left over there? The third band (Heatwarmer) had their guitarist, Chrisian, play up there. It was pretty sweet.

On Friday of last week, Exodus Books hosted a game night, which I got to go to. Yay! It was pretty sweet. There was no cost to get in, just to come and bring any games you might want to play. Me, Daniel, Shay, and Jonny were about the best team ever for this game called "Forbidden Island." Daniel was pretty hilarious while playing it. lol. It's simple enough to play, but extremely difficult to win. It got really stressful throughout, and we were so excited once we won. hehehe. I tried to convince Mom to buy it, and I would have paid for some of it too, but she didn't let me. I really want to see what Josiah and Benny would look like playing that game hahaha.

As for recent news: Me and fellow bloggers Daniel and Shay are going to try to tri-author a book. sounds pretty epic, doesn't it? well, anyways. About the only things we know for sure is that it should be modern time, and a Science Fiction. WE don't really know anything other than that. I'm pretty sure we're open for suggestions, so if you have any, you can either contact one of us three personally, or post a suggestion as a comment on one of our blogs.

And that's just about all I have today, so adios!

Lively Tuesday I suppose...

It's a Tuesday. and this will be a somewhat random post, so I guess I'll make it into a lively Tuesday.
Today is Benny's birthday, so go ahead and wish him a happy birthday. On the spur of the moment, he got a job offer today and is moving an hour away tomorrow night. So that's all very exciting. I might even write a song for him. Speaking of which, I wrote parts for two more songs. yay, congratulations, nice, and wahoo are the normal response to that. So there, I covered it for you. Last weekend was very busy. very busy indeed. We went to the Friday night worship service at our church, and Jo probably got his pipe box stolen that night, so he's pretty upset about that. Saturday we had the porch party a our house. There were donuts, nice cars, donuts, a lot of people, more donuts, candy, more people, games, and more donuts. Oh and there was lemonade too, but I don't know. Is that as important as the donuts? you tell me. Sunday we had a birthday party for a bunch of people, although the tradition is just for Benny and Uncle Richard. yeah, so that all happened. And then something else happened on Monday, but I can't remember what. Maybe it'll come back to me later.

In the meantime, my blog has been very boring, and has been going very slow. So tell me! What would you like to see more of in this blog? links to Daniel's blog, Kerilynn's blog, Elisa's blog, Benny's blog, and more? more movie reviews? more music? more Lively Tuesday posts? Tell me and it may well be done. Comments are always welcome in this blog.

The Lovely Bones: Movie review

So, a couple days ago I had a chance to watch The Lovely Bones, a thriller starring Mark Wahlberg, Saoirse Ronan, and more. It was based off of the novel by Alice Sebold, which I haven't had a chance to read yet.

Saoirse Ronan plays a young girl named Suzie Salmon, who lived a wonderful life until she was murdered at the age of 14.  This movie will show you who the killer is at the very beginning of the movie, so if You plan to watch this movie, beware.

Throughout the movie, Suzie grows more angry at her killer in the realm of beauty, the in-between, or Her own perfect world, whichever you want to call it. But she must decide whether she wants vengeance or happiness for her family, who is distressed by the murder.

This movie had some incredible effects, and great filmography, but a very depressing story. Parts of the movie can be quite suspenseful, and there is a small scene that is rather gross. I wouldn't recommend the movie for anyone under the age of 11-12, depending on what you would allow your younger brother/sister/son/daughter to see. I found it entertaining, although it's a movie that you could live your life without.

I'll give you the trailer here, and let you decide if you want to watch it or not.

Aaaand I'm back!

Alright, so I realize it's been a couple weeks since my last post, so I apologize to those who were eagerly awaiting my next words. To the rest of you, meh. And also, I have not been doing those "Lively Tuesday" dealios. To be honest, they would have been really boring if I had. Hardly anything has happened the last couple weeks except my working and whatnot. most of it was just lying down and relaxing. It's summer though, so that's my excuse. Ooh! But I do have some exciting news! Guess who got his long-awaited Red Suspenders?
When somebody asks a question like that, you already know the answer. But just in case you're really dim, I'll tell you: This Guy!!  that's the first time I've linked to my own blog in my blog. :P strange. I'm also pretty excited about the tang that's in our freezer. Freezing :P but that's different news. I honestly don't know what else to say. So I might as well just end here. Just so you know, If I haven't blogged in a week or so, It's likely because I don't know what to blog about. So feel free to drop ideas in a comment!
