The Lovely Bones: Movie review

So, a couple days ago I had a chance to watch The Lovely Bones, a thriller starring Mark Wahlberg, Saoirse Ronan, and more. It was based off of the novel by Alice Sebold, which I haven't had a chance to read yet.

Saoirse Ronan plays a young girl named Suzie Salmon, who lived a wonderful life until she was murdered at the age of 14.  This movie will show you who the killer is at the very beginning of the movie, so if You plan to watch this movie, beware.

Throughout the movie, Suzie grows more angry at her killer in the realm of beauty, the in-between, or Her own perfect world, whichever you want to call it. But she must decide whether she wants vengeance or happiness for her family, who is distressed by the murder.

This movie had some incredible effects, and great filmography, but a very depressing story. Parts of the movie can be quite suspenseful, and there is a small scene that is rather gross. I wouldn't recommend the movie for anyone under the age of 11-12, depending on what you would allow your younger brother/sister/son/daughter to see. I found it entertaining, although it's a movie that you could live your life without.

I'll give you the trailer here, and let you decide if you want to watch it or not.
